You really need 2 weeks just for the roadtrip from Cairns to Brisbane (PLUS time in Cairns PLUS time in Brisbane), then 5 days for the trip from Brisbane to Sydney (PLUS time in Sydney). If you want to see anything at all, you need a whole month to do this.
