411 is a telephone number for local directory assistance in Canada and the United States. Until the early 1980s, 411 – and the related 113 number – were free to call in most jurisdictions. In the United States, the service is commonly known as "information", [ 1] although its official name is "directory assistance". [ 2]
I've searched online and some sites says dial 011 + 787 + the local number. I've also read that you just dial directly as if you were dialing to a different area code (1 + 787 + local number). I get a broken dial tone when trying to dial directly and a busy signal when dialing 011 first. I've tried two different phone numbers with the same result.
