Meteor Crater, or Barringer Crater, is an impact crater about 37 mi (60 km) east of Flagstaff and 18 mi (29 km) west of Winslow in the desert of northern Arizona, United States. Many years ago, we were driving along I 40 and saw the signs for meteor crater. We wondered why anyone would pay to see a big hole in the ground. Over the years, we wished that we would have stopped. We finally got to visit a year and a half ago. For us, it was worth it - we enjoyed the video, guided tour, and museum.
