I can get great rates with the major companies and they are right at the airport, no shuttle required. I've read horror stories about "off-brand" car rental companies.

Be prepared to say no to any of the upgrades and you will be fine. They are off site and not as efficient as the major companies, but that is the trade off for the lower rate.
