People give bad reviews for a number of reason but the majority of reasons are unwarranted when it comes to the better companies. Companies to avoid will be Firefly, Maggiore, Goldcar and Locauto. These are bad companies and should be avoided at all costs.

Having rented cars for years in the Algarve with zero issues I was surprised to see so many negative reviews about experiences at Lisbon airport. Travelling with two young children, we are keen to avoid too many problems. Will have full car insurance cover already so not too concerned about being up-sold insurance options.
