Hi, we're flying from Guwahati to Kathmandu with a 12 hour layover. I have a single reservation number for the two flights, both are Air India.Both are in terminal 3. I'm thinking that I'll be able to check my bags all the way through (cross my fingers that they don't get lost) and then book into the Holiday Inn Express terminal side with just our carry on luggage.
There is no button on the page to go ahead except a refresh button. Can you imagine. Same thing happened with my inward journey and after struggling for 4 hours and speaking to multiple customer care executives, I had to reach Delhi airport in suspense and finally could get boarding pass only inside the terminal.
There is a complimentary shuttle bus between domestic and international. The frequency is roughly 1 bus every 20 minutes. If you take a taxi hire instead of the free shuttle, you need 15-20 minutes for the transfer to domestic, but you also need to budget for the line at the taxi stand, booking and paying for the taxi etc.
