Reviewed April 23, 2021. Whatever you do, do not rent from Dollar Car Rental!! They have the worst customer service I have ever seen from a company in my life. You are much better taking ubers or public transport. First, we had to wait 2 and a half hours after our reservation time in order to get our vehicle that was RESERVED.
I've just started to research the next trip - a 19 day stay, collecting the car from the airport at New York and returning it there - and find them priced at £1274 and £1488, for the 19 day trip. Alamo/Costco didn't come close to Dollar's DHCR prices for our 2018 trip. With some reluctance, we made the switch to Dollar. There were no problems with Dollar's quick car pick-up or drop off. For 2019, we've reserved Dollar through DHCR -- with frequent searches for lower rates at Costco & Autoslash.
