   Yes not only is it an outstanding company it's the only rental company as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes a little more expensive than others but I feel in general the service is great. The cars are often much newer than you'll find at Avis, Budget, or Hertz. If you ask for a non-smoking car at National you will get a non-smoking car at national.

We fly into SJO and rented a car from National. They were AMAZING!

You can use the credit card's CDW but you'll need to buy the liability insurance from the car agency--it's a matter of law. Can't substitute third party or credit card or personal insurance policies. Just build that $12-20/day into your budget.

We haven’t been back to Mexico since Covid, but twice before had a great experience with National Rental Car in Cancun.

   National is my favorite car rental brand, by far, and the Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) operation is my favorite car rental location anywhere in the world. Even though this is a very busy rental and return location (National IAD is popular for good reason), the service is always super-efficient while also being friendly and customer-focused.

   For our three day rental the car would beep every minute saying “add blue was required”. We stopped and found Blue and added it to the vehicle. . . The car continued to beep and the information system told us if we shut off the car it would not restart. We returned the car to National. I contacted National and asked for a credit.
