9 years ago. Google Flights is a search engine, but will have paid ads. I would use it to locate flights and carriers, and stay away from the advertised 3rd party booking sites. Google acquired ITA Matrix, a well-respected search engine, and repackaged it with a newer interface, which many like better. Good luck,
Google Flights is awful, stay away!!! I booked a flight and the confirmation said 6 am. When I got the airport they told me it leaves at 2pm and to contact google travel ( flights ). I attempted to contact google no contact number is provided. There is probably a reason for that. Report inappropriate content. Frommy.

Google are 100% advertising revenue, from anyone, airlines & OTA's are no different and have to pay. IMO those that do not pay [adequately] get the run around as pay back. The big 3 in the USA - AA, DL & UA - all had to pay Google extra for an arrangement that Google will not show OTA fares against there flights.
