Sometimes, as OP found, the individual "separate" tickets are not actually bookable on the airline websites at the listed prices.

    Even though I have a (very good) corporate travel agent I always research my own flights and then give them instructions So my agent does as they’re told by me (as long as the flights are within policy). Google Flights is your best option for flight searches. You could also look at third party booker sites just for schedule and *possible* prices.
