The hotel sites that offer AAA discounts have a place where you select AAA rate which is about 15% when booking online or will give the discount when showing up on the day.

As far as towing, we do carry our AAA cards, but, you do have to think a bit before you take your rental car on the lonely unimproved 4 wheel drive areas.
