Yes, Turo as such is 100% legit. We have used it a few times and have 3 upcoming trips booked with car rentals through Turo. That said, it's the exact concept as AirBnB - the cars (like accommodations on AirBnB) are people owned, not rental agencies or hotels. We have always had good experiences so far, but that doesn't mean something can't go ...
5 years ago. Turo is a car sharing service. You rent someone else's car like AirBnB for lodging. I have not used Turo. All my experiences when using AirBnB have been poor, that the lodging did not meet what was described online. I would not want that with renting a car. Use a major rental firm like Hertz, Avis, National, Enterprise.
