Upcoming trip will necessitate a carry on. Max L + W + H cannot be larger than 62 inches. I just bought a roller dufflel, fully inflated it is 68". If not fully filled, it wont hit the 62 limit. Are they ball busters on this? Flying both Jet Blue and Southwest. Thanks in advance.
MH is one of the airlines whose excess fee per kg is 1.5% of the fully flexible one way ticket for the route taken. So if the one way Y fare is $2500 it's $37.5 per kg; cheaper than UA for 5lbs (2kg) overweight but a lot more if it's 20lbs (9kg).

Unfortunately, my new suitcase comes in at a hair over 65 ...
sorry, I meant to ask if EVA air or any airlines would let it slide (not imposing extra baggage fees) if my bag is a pound or two over 50lbs. I guess i could separate the contents into two smaller checked in bags of 25-27lbs each instead of cramming all into a medium sized bag and risk exceeding the 50 lbs limit.
Traveling on Air France from US to Paris. Actual cost of overweight baggage fee can't be found on Air France site. I know 50 lbs is limit for a checked bag for economy seat. If I knew the fee schedule it would help to make a decision on whether or not to invest in a luggage scale in the $20 plus range. Report inappropriate content.
