I've been looking for a car rental place in IAD (Washington Dulles) in July. kAlmost every single site has min-priced cars @ about $33 a day, but for some reason, Kayak.com has some cars at $15 a day.
Kayak is a comparison site. It shows prices on various web sites side by side but you actually rent the car through which ever other web site you choose.. I use it to see possible prices and then book through one of the car web sites that seem reasonable.
I'm a resident of Czech Republic and I reserved a rental car through Kayak.com from Alamo yesterday in SF, California. I somehow thought the insurance is included (like in most countries) but I still bought something they call "Rental Car Damage Protection" from Allianz ($9 per day) on Kayak as well - it was the only option listed there.
