That doesn't mean that they won't take them, but you could get someone that is a stickler for policy. Report inappropriate content.

Call around to some of the Name brand companies and explain you do NOT use credit cards. I have heard through the radio talk show with Dave Ramsey that they will accept debit.

If you use a debit card the rental company will put a large hold on your debit account in the sum of $300-600 which will be charged back a few days to a few weeks after you return the car minus any expenses incurred such as rental fees, and refuel charges. If you use a credit card they put a hold on but they dont process the charge.
