I use my Capital 360 debit card all the time. My limit is $1,000/day, and that's quite enough for average travelers, unless you're buying a Chanel bag with cash :-) One thing with Capital 360 is that you need to give them a foreign trip notice, otherwise your card won't work. These days not many banks require a notice, but Capital is one of them.

Another vote for the Capital One Quicksilver. It does not come with a PIN but you can call and request one; it will be mailed to your billing address and this takes 10 + business days. Also no foreign transaction fees. I used my debit card successfully at many gas stations. I tried the green button thing and it didn't work.

Was able to use it at unmanned gas pumps by requesting a pin number by calling their 800 number before I left. Used it exclusively. No foreign exchange fees hit my account. Report inappropriate content.
