That's like asking who makes the best car. Actually, of the above....Avis owns Budget and Enterprise owns Alamo. I've rented from all many times with zero problems. Go with a major company who gives you the best deal. Report inappropriate content.
3 reviews. Budget vs Enterprise vs Hertz. 6 years ago. Which is a better one to rent. I am renting for 14 days. I am from India. Will be driving through Arizona, Utah, Nevada and CA. I could see that Budget has better rates for Non-US citizens (when I select that I am from India) it adds some insurances in the order and at much lower price so ...
224 reviews. 198 helpful votes. Hertz vs Dollar; Hertz vs Alamo... 10 years ago. I'm being offered, through a UK-based third party, two week's convertible rental with Hertz for £20/$32 more than with Dollar. The Dollar booking is fully refundable. Hertz charge a £30/$48 cancellation fee.
You may want to look at the overall cost for keeping the car by playing around with your dates. You could bring it back on the Wednesday, but would have to take a taxi back to your hotel. May be almost as cheep just to keep it parked for a couple of days and have it if you want it.
5. Re: Budget vs Alamo car rental at MCO. The price difference is about 80-100 for 6 days. 6. Re: Budget vs Alamo car rental at MCO. Last month, we rented a car from Budget at the Orlando airport for a one way trip up to St. Augustine. We made it 40 miles and the car broke down on I-4.
83 helpful votes. 13. Re: Budget vs Enterprise vs Hertz. 6 years ago. Dollar and Thrifty are the "second string" of the Hertz Group which owns both. Just like Avis owns Budget and Payless. Enterprise owns National and Alamo. Regardless, much of what you get is supply and demand.
Hertz used to be good, but it's reputation has taken a hit. Last year it was fined US$168 million for sleazy business practices, and a corporate culture like that doesn't go away very easily. I haven't heard of any scandals regarding Alamo, not that I've been looking for any. That said, I haven't rented from Hertz or Alamo in years.
3. Re: Which Airport car rental company-alamo,thrifty or budget. All of the major rental car companies at the Airport are fine...Alamo, Avis Budget, Hertz, National. I wouldn't put much into rental car reviews....as thousands of folk rent and have absolutely no issues....and never write up a review.
