In that time, I've heard of three instances where the police have stopped young men and tried to extort money from them. The first time happened to a friend of our son.

8 years ago. It's very safe. Like others have said, be alert and follow the same precautions and good judgment that you would in any city. As far as crime, the only thing I have seen is the people trying to sell cigars, weed, and blow around the marina or on the beach.

1. Re: US Travel Warning on Mexico Baja Californiana Sur. Ive been to Cabo many times a couple time already this year will probably go again in Dec, last visit 2 months ago. Ive never felt unsafe anyware a tourist would go. AT my resort, to/from the airport, away from my resort.
