   15 years ago. If I'm not mistaken, the free 2nd driver depends on what rental company you use. But the Costco discount works only when renting through Costco website, using a their code, or so I thought. I could be wrong. I thought that if you used Priceline, you paid for it, no chance on declining your winning bid.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    17 years ago. I just used Priceline to rent a car for my March trip. The prices on Expedia, Travelocity and the individual rental sites were running about $255 for seven days. I named my own price, and ended up with a rental for seven days for $150. IMO, there's no reason not to use Priceline for rental cars.
