( 1997-08-17) Pie in the Sky is a British police comedy drama starring Richard Griffiths and Maggie Steed, created by Andrew Payne and first broadcast in five series on BBC1 between 13 March 1994 and 17 August 1997, as well as being syndicated on other channels in other countries.
The "pie" in the "sky" refers to steak pie served in a restaurant on the top of Mount Snaefell, Laxey, Isle of Man. The steak pie was delicious! We went to an event to star gaze as the Isle is known for the best star gazing the best place in the British Isles to do so. We took the trolley from Douglas to Snaefell, a delightful, rustic trip.
1. This is a small restaurant / shop in the high Sierra where the crew lives seasonally to make the most delicious pies and chilli anywhere around. 2. The opening of pears brings on Pear cheddar pie where the top crust is made from cheese / pie crust and is the most incredible thing you will eat from a pie tin. 3. Most importantly arrive early!!!!
