    I went online a few weeks later, changed the inbound date, was charged and received a confirmation email with the change. All set.     Expedia never notified us of that. As such we had to book a new flight on a different airline at a much higher price. I have made 7 calls to Expedia talked to 7 customer service agents and 4 supervisors. I have been disconnected 3 times after waiting on line for up to 40 minutes. ON May 21, I was promised an answer within 24-48 hours.

It is unfortunate, but that is the risk you took. In saying that, there are cases where airlines would assist in credit shells, rebooking for a fee etc.

The hotel may not have your name and details until a few days or weeks before your check-in date".
