Re: Long term parking at DTW. 15 years ago. Just an update to the information on this thread. Long term parking on site at the Big Blue is now $16 a day. There are online coupons for both Quik park and US Park for $10 per day. Also, a number of hotels (the Westin and many of the Hilton brands in the area) have park and stay plans.
Re: Best long term parking at detroit airport. for $10/day, look into the "Big Blue Deck" at the airport itself. It is the parking structure by the North Terminal. They have free shuttle buses to the McNamara terminal (call 1 800 377 1032 from your parking spot in the structure and they will pick you up from there).

Save. US Park, Airlines Parking and Quik Park are the three offsite lots at DTW. They are all under the same ownership and charge the same rates - $10/day with a coupon off of their websites. There are additional discounts for AAA and some corporations - at Airlines I get $8/day with my business card and we also have reserved spots up front.
The three big offsite lots are US Park, Quik Park and Airline Parking. All have coupons online for $9/day and will shuttle you from your car to the terminal entrance. That will take 5-15 minutes depending on how many others they pick up, but they are quite organized.
