You can combine the balance of gift cards on the website. It generally works well, but make sure the balance transfers after each card. I had an incident where when attempting to transfer a card, it drained the balance, but never added to the balance of the card I was transferring to. It took two weeks of emails with Disney to get it resolved.
5 years ago. You can pay off your magic band account with your gift cards. Take them to the front desk and they will apply them to your account. Just make sure you do it before midnight the night before you check out or they will automatically charge your credit card on file.
If you are staying on-site you can add charging priviledges to your room card. You must give them a valid charge card (MC, Visa etc) to do this. You do not have to have the ability to charge on all of the persons on you reservation, only who you choose. If you currently have Disney gift cards, you can use them to pay towards your hotel bill.
