Save. I am opening this thread because so many contact solutions come in the size of 3.5 oz, while the TSA limit is 3.4 oz. The different is so tiny. Checking in my luggage is not an option because I will be traveling light. There are very few travel size solutions for gas permeable lenses on Amazon. And their prices are high, e.g, $9 for 0.33 oz.

If you go directly to the TSA website, as I stated, ask if contact solution is allowed and it sends you back to the page describing the 3-1-1 rule. Lulu, I suggest you contact TSA via email and get it in writing if you are permitted to take contact solution outside of the 3-1-1 bag. There is nothing on the TSA website that specifies the exemption. Print any positive verification and take it with you. You are supposed to declare any med liquids prior to scanning.
