Save. I am opening this thread because so many contact solutions come in the size of 3.5 oz, while the TSA limit is 3.4 oz. The different is so tiny. Checking in my luggage is not an option because I will be traveling light. There are very few travel size solutions for gas permeable lenses on Amazon. RGP = Rigid Gas Permeable. I wear them and have never had my solution confiscated since switching over, probably 10 years ago. Clear Care does make a travel size of their solution. But, I also pack a backup bottle of Boston Simplus, - 1 bottle solution - just in case. Not as effective, imo, but still works.

    1. Re: Contact lens solution in carry-on baggage. Contact lens solution is considered medical and is exempt from the 3 ounce rule. If you carry more than 3 ounces you are supposed to place it in a bin separate from your 1 quart bag and tell the screener, but I've carried a 4 ounce bottle on dozens of flights and have never declared it or been ...

No telling what all the various TSA people will decide either. I suggest you keep it in a 3.4 oz size in your carry on. Pack anything larger in your checked luggage. Report inappropriate content. LuLu348. Carmel, Indiana. Level Contributor.
