Old town Scottsdale allows you to park for a few hours for free without parking charge. If you don’t plan to go far from the resort, you should Uber. But, if you’re like me, where we spent a couple days exploring surrounding cities, I would rent a car. The charges for parking are pretty high, so I would go Uber.

It depends on where your hotel is but ours was one exit from the Disney resort boundaries and about a 10-15 minute drive from Universal, and we found Uber/Lyft to be extremely convenient and cost effective. For 12 days we spent $340 AUD on fares, which was barely the cost of a rental car, let alone parking fees and petrol.
