Actually, there are discounts at both restaurants and shopping w/your AAA card, but I believe you have to book your trip through AAA. These rates are usually much lower than a AAA, AARP or Military discount. Just plan to add resort fees to your room rate. I am currently looking at booking Lake Tahoe and Reno. I always book through priceline.com. I have a reservation for this weekend through AVIS for a full size car. Pick-up tomorrow night and returning on Tuesday. Total price for the 4 days with tax is $100.20 ($60 for the car and $40.20 in fees/taxes) I bid $15 dollars on a Full size and it was accepted. You can probably bid even less on a smaller car.
