By sheer volume they may get a better deal from airlines, thus passing on the saving. Every year there are fewer & fewer of them because of internet & travel sites such as Expedia, Orbitz, etc.
My experience with Wholesale-tickets.com is very painful. I paid $1,369 on Friday to travel to England. Miami to JFK, 3 hour layover. JFK to Amsterdam, another 3 hour layover and Amsterdam to Bristol, England.The return was the same convoluted flights. I had to cancel due to ill health, backed up by Neurologists advice not to travel alone.
