Re: Accuracy of Google maps. I can't speak definitively, but on the routes with which I have some familiarity, I'd say Google is generally pretty close. Of course urban traffic can be a BIG variable, as can road construction etc., but I think it's reliable enough. 2.

1. Re: Google maps-offline walking directions? 7 years ago. Offline walking directions aren't supported yet. Maybe not in Toronto but in many European cities you'll notice Google gives walking directions that are very different then driving. They have to deal with pedestrian only zones and other short cuts.

Both Google Maps and AA "directions" give the "fastest" route . as via SHs 3,1,5,33 & 2 @ 405 km @ 4h55m ave. 82 km/hr. AA also gives this route as the "shortest" - see below.
