We come in a day early, stay at the Hilton, and they allow you to park for free in a well lit and secure parking area.. Also provide a shuttle to and from the cruise port. No experience with any independent cruise parking facilities.
Cruise Parking. Review of Port of Galveston. Reviewed January 5, 2018 via mobile. The embarkation went very smoothly. Thus was our first cruise. I paid for the parking on-line prior to arrival. We dropped our bags by the front and proceeded to Lot A. The parking lot is very close. They have a shuttle, but we opted to walk back to the check in area.
We had booked with Galveston express for our cruise in April 2020, we even recommended them to friends and t our face book group for the cruise. Well, Covid-19 hit and our cruise was cancelled, so we had to cancel Galveston express also, which we did on 3/24/20. They said in an email that a FULL refund would be in the mail within 30 days.
There is a shuttle that runs from the hotel to the dock, a 5-10 minute drive for $10 per person + tips for baggage ($10 includes a free return trip). They had two shuttles running, and we were back to the hotel as soon as we were off the ship. Props to DCP Cruise Parking! The front desk people were extremely kind, and the hotel had free Wi-Fi!
