First things first, as with other aspects of arriving in Aruba on a Sunday, our experience with the rental car portion of our vacation was wonderful. Hertz Car Rental - Denver Airport. 1 year ago. Over 50 people waiting in the Denver Hertz Rental lobby. We waited for over 2 hours and finally called an Uber. Sadly they had many cars in the lot but they were considered upgrades and price gauging customers if they wanted a car. I had a full size reserved on a corporate account (business trip).
Just a dreadful start and finish to our LA vacation. Rented a car on-line for a week. Pre-paid and got a printed confirmation at an attractive rate. During on-line checkout, I declined all additional insurance and loss damage waivers as I am personally covered. Upon arrival I was in line at the rental desk for an hour.
1. Re: Hertz car rental. We rent from Hertz most visits, unless Grace Bay Car Rental is cheaper. It lists Hertz as an airport location, but it’s actually a short van ride to their lot (3 - 4 mins.) We’ve never had any issues with their service. Cars are older, as are most on the island.
