1. Re: Has anyone used Payless car rental. 5 years ago. I’ve used Payless with no issues. They are owned by the same company that owns Avis. They get the older Avis cars. I find they’re a good value. They drive you to their location which is close to the airport. I always take pictures and video of all cars I rent.
Answer 1 of 5: Hoping someone can tell me how far it is from the Cancun airport to the Payless pickup location? Having rented cars in Cancun before, I know some companies can take up to 30 min. to pick you up from the airport after arrival.

They're one of the companies that's always cheapest and that people often have problems with: pushy upsells on the insurance and fuel options, poor quality cars that lack maintenance, extra charges and damage at return.

Arrived at rental counter, suddenly was told had to pay additional fees. Inquired, was told "taxes", I pointed out the rental taxes were already included.
