For picking up car rentals at MCO, for car companies such as Alamo or Dollar, are they located onsite, i.e. walk to cars, or do we need to take a shuttle to the car rental companies off site locaiton or to a car rental center? Arrived at the desk, big queue then the guy tried to sell me everything - i said no. Got to the car, wasn't clean. Got to the hotel, checked paperwork - the guy had put $500 worth of stuff onto my bill ...
If you can,get your car at the airport-the shuttles are a pain. Alamo and National(same company) have good prices and you can check in on the computer in advance and just pick your car up,no waiting at the counter. It's a good idea to join the loyalty program of whatever car rental company you choose too.
Maybe it is a walk from the international terminal but arriving nationaly it is realy close and well worth renting from a company with on-site cars.We use Alamo and have always been happy.Before you leave,check with your regular car insurance carrier AND you credit card company.Both generally offer some coverage and you probably dont need to buy additional.It is the job of the agents to try ...
