4. Re: Yellow alert - please explain! 4 years ago. Yellow is dangerous for campers and large trucks, etc, and a gust could be dangerous for anyone. Orange is dangerous for everyone, and unless you are skilled in extreme winter driving you should limit or eliminate driving. Red is worse, but I don't recall any red warnings.
