When you open the email, you'll also see the Certified Mail banner above the message details. When you get a message that seems to be from AOL, but it doesn't have those 2 indicators, and it isn't alternatively marked as AOL Official Mail, it might be a fake email. Make sure you mark it as spam and don't click on any links in the email.
Based on your replies it appears that while staying in the UK, Amazon will ship here from the USA, and also charge for it accordingly. I did see that option earlier, and was hoping to find a better solution. I will contact their customer service tomorrow.
