Assuming a few days, use the public parking garage on 16 Street (between Collins and Washington). It's on the south side of 16 Street, and cost is $16/day (or $1/hour) . You can take it out about once a day and not be penalized. Other notable publc ramps are at 7'th and Collins, 13'th and Collins, 17'th and Pennsylvania.

I wanted to let you know that there are HUGE public garages next to the Convention Center on 17th St. and a massive parking lot behind the Convention Hall (west side) where you can park the car on your own and not pay for hotel valet. Resort fees are not standard at all hotels and you can check the cost online at any hotel website.

The lighthouse museum parking lot at the southern tip of the island is an honor system, you put 2 or $3 in the envelope, but halfway down the island there are 17th street & 19th street sandy short roads between beach mansions free public parking each street has room for about 10 or 12 cars. t's incredible!!! like having private beach!!!
