Scott, what about these three car rental companies do you prefer over Budget, Thrifty, etc. Just curious because I posted on the NY forum about which companies to AVOID. A lot of people say just choose the cheapest. The Alamo Skip the Counter option does look appealing.

Mystery car manager special for 3 days. Received email confirmation but did not open it. When I returned the car I was charged additiional fees to total $691.
