The actual best pool weather is the fall period, end of September thru mid-October. The temperature very late April thrugh Mid-May might often be the same, but you will usually lose a pool day or two to the Spring Winds. When it gets really windy in Las Vegas everything shuts down, including the pools. 7.
Much of the month highs will be 80-90 degrees during the day and very pleasant at night. But you may not be able to enjoy pool days the end of the month. November: Too cold for the pool, but still comfortably in the 70's early in the month. Possible cold periods (50's during the day) near the end. December: Cold.
March and April or both good times of the year. I usually go in April nice weather, in the 70/80's. The best and worst depends, if weather only: July and August for the heat, but some people like the hot weather so they can hang at the pool. November to January the worst for weather, but again some people like cooler weather and less crowds.
Re: Early October Weather. For cities, always check their wiki page.. it shows their monthly temperatures in a graph. Las Vegas shows a slight cooling for October (as a whole), but it's the last 2 weeks where the weather seems to really get noticeably cooler.. say 75-80 degrees or so, rather than 90+ degrees.

Maybe. Maybe not. Average temp range for first of Nov is low 50's for the low, low 70's for the high. Maybe not bathing suit weather, but nice enough for sitting outside. OTOH, record highs for early Nov are high 80s and record lows are near freezing.
