   Re: When to get to the airport for 11 am flight. Jan 17, 2024, 11:59 AM. I would arrive at the car rental agency at 8:30 no later. Consider taking Kanan Dune or Malibu Canyon over to Pacific Coast Highway and then Lincoln to get to LAX and avoid freeway traffic.

   Answer 1 of 7: We are flying into LAX in August. I'm looking for a rental car and am seeing rates around $240 cheaper renting away from the airport vs at LAX. LAX rate at Enterprise is $634, Enterprise in Marina Del Rey is $394.

   I'm struggling to get anything out of Avis other than them copying and pasting a pretty useless piece of "information" from their website. Last time through LAX (arriving in Tom Bradley terminal) we ended up walking nearly half a mile to T8 before we could find a Purple Zone where an Avis shuttle would actually stop for us.

Aug 7, 2024, 9:22 PM. hi there, it's been a while since i've rented a car at LAX. years ago, i rented with budget and the wait time was hours long (and i swore i wouldn't do it again). my friend was in LA this past winter and had a two hour wait with budget (after getting off the shuttle).
