Enterprise, Avis and Budget all have locations in downtown Long Beach that are open Sunday (Enterprise's hours are fairly limited that day, however), you could drop car there and then Uber to the cruise port in San Pedro, about 6 or 7 miles. The next a.m. Enterprise will pick us up to go to their site to get a car. We will return the car to a site closer to the cruise port (and which is open on Sunday) and get a lift to the cruise port from that Enterprise office. Cost for the 2 days should be in the $70+ range.

6. Re: Shuttle to cruise port. Or stay somewhere in downtown L.A. and take the METRO J LINE (SILVER EXPRESS) bus to the Port ($2.50/person). The bus runs along Grand and Flower Street in the center of downtown and makes the trip to the 'Harbor Beacon Park & Ride Lot' across the street from the Port in about 45 minutes.
There are two rental car companies located in Downtown San Pedro near the World Cruise Center that offer free customer pick-ups and drop-offs to the terminal.
