There is Kroger, Publix, Food Lion, Wal Mart, Boulineau's (on Sea Mtn Hwy in NMB). and probably some others. We always just go to whatever is closest.
3. Re: Groceries on Folly Beach. 15 years ago. You have to travel on Folly Road to get to the beach. You will pass two very nice grocery stores: Harris-Teeter's and Piggly Wiggly, both on the right. My advice would be to stop at one of them (Piggly Wiggly is closer to Folly Beach) and get at least your basics before checking in to your rental.

You will pass by there on your way. There is a Kroger and Lowes Foods on up the road a bit and a Wal Mart about 4 miles north of you.

14 years ago. Bi-Lo is the closest to where you are staying and is a very nice grocery store. While I love both Food Lion and Kroger too as I shop at all three depending on who has what on sale, I think for sure Bi-Lo has the nicest store out of them. The Harris Teeter at Freshfields is the closest real grocery store but it's pricey (similar to Whole Foods or Fresh Market in cost).
