After setting up the walk in wifi, I turned off both wifi and Data usage, and went on the walk. It was perfect, giving voice directions and arrow movement in real time. Thanks, William.

   1. Re: Google Maps walking times. First, use the subway. If you choose to walk, I would add 10 minutes for short distances and 20+ minutes for long distances, just to be safe. Once you start to understand how long it takes you to walk from A to B across streets/avenues, then you can adjust.
