And I am a customer myself as a professional tour guide, I activated a customers insurance for an emergency flight because her grandson was sick.

As far as AIG travel insurance it is 100% a scam. If customers knew that they were getting, they would not buy it— this is what makes it a scam. Maybe they are protected legally through clever wordplay but the goal of this company is to trick customers into buying something they cannot use. Reply.
Google returns links to sites showing dismal reviews (Yelp shows 1.5 stars) for Travel Guard as well as sites showing fairly good reviews, but with all insurance the devil is in the details. Without knowing the reason for the cancellation the mere fact that Travel Guard didn't pay out means nothing.

They are a well-known company but sometimes the insured is not fully informed on what the policy they purchased covers.

This is the third time I have submitted a claim in over 20 years of travel. I used to automatically call Travel Guard for insurance, with out going for competitive prices, as the phone calls and response has been great. They are no longer staffed to answer phones and give service.
