The San Diego Flyer free airport shuttle drops you at the Old Town Transit Center which would be a good place to meet. You may want to walk over to the park-and-ride lot where the Enterprise driver can get into the parking lot without having to worry about bus or car traffic running in front of the transit center.
Dec 19, 2023, 9:02 AM. Alamo, Hertz, Avis, National, Enterprise -- we mostly do one-day rentals from San Diego and return the car in Orange County or L.A. when we are getting on a cruise ship or flying out of LAX. We've used all of the major brands at various times and never had a problem.
Answer 1 of 11: We are flying into San Diego and renting a car (in August) but need to fly out of LAX. It is very expensive to return the rental car up in LA. It is also very expensive to take a shuttle van.
74 reviews. 81 helpful votes. Enterprise rental car at LAX. 9 years ago. We need a car for 30 hours in LA close to New Year's Eve and prices are horrendous. So I am looking at booking through Costco, which has better prices but limited options. Avis is still $200+, but budget!
