6. Re: Pacific Highway 1 - Google maps. 5 years ago. You can easily add waypoints to force Google maps to take the route you want, although you can only add so many, (ten I believe). Anyway you can type in the city or you can do a map search so you just put the X on Highway one and hit save.

Re: Google maps REFUES to route 1 from Monteray to Cambria! Hwy 1 is actually now closed south of Sycamore Canyon Rd on the northern end due to one of the support columns under Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge slipping and cracking. Half of the village is now cut off. It may be a while before the highway is reopened.

They're allowing pedestrian access over the bridge so guests of those properties can park their cars north of the bridge, walk across and they can pick up guests on the other side.
