Since we booked through a 'travel agent' (Costco travel certainly does not behave like one), Norwegian Cruise Lines would not deal with us directly. The tossed us back to Costco travel for any and all changes, booking questions etc.> THIS is a hard learned lesson - when dealing with 3rd party OTA's like Costco or any number of others.
I've booked 3 cruises through Costco Travel over the last few years. Very happy with them. The base rates are either the same or better than the actual cruiseline online rates, PLUS they usually give onboard credits that tend to work out to around 8% discount.
We have booked numerous cruises (10+) through Costco. We have never had a problem. We always call Costco Travel. The price is cheaper than the cruise lines' quoted price, plus you get a shipboard credit both from Costco and from the cruise line. The agents are very professional, helpful and patient. We have never had a bad agent.
