1. Vote. The closest HEB would be in Aransas Pass by ferry or Flour Bluff coming onto the island via Interstate 37. Same thing for Walmart , even a couple of miles from each other. Nothing beats an HEB. There is an island store with groceries like a Super S or something small like that. over a year ago.

While the Wal-Mart has everything under the sun, I actually prefer to shop at the HEB. (It is on the right as you are coming into Port Isabel).

Stock up on water, cervesas, and munchies for a week..then Uber or Taxi back to resort. We usually do it the first morning after checking in. That works good for us.
