7. Re: Help with 10 day Itinerary. Jun 23, 2024, 8:50 AM. #4, I usually recommend 4 days in Tokyo which is the epitome of modern Japan, and 5 days in Kyoto incl a day trip to Nara. Kyoto and Nara are the former capitals for over 1k years. OTOH, Hokkaido has a much shorter history of over 100 years.
