Traffic is bad going to Las Vegas on weekends, and even more if you left in the later evening when people are getting off work to take a weekend in LV> Especially when there is an event like Valentines day. Leave as early as you possibly can. 4 or 5am would not be too early. I would not suggest though traveling at night after dark with that drive.
