    US Highway 93 passes through the town of Jackpot just across the Idaho state line and hits I-15 about 20 miles east of Las Vegas with Ely about midway. Ely and Jackpot have the best housing and food options. Wells, not so much. Distance is about 450 miles (and 7 hours) of high desert two lane highway …usually in good condition.

    Re: Traffic on Las Vegas Blvd South. You should not have any problems from LAS to Park MGM. F1 construction takes place 24 hours a day (on the Strip) Sunday around 9pm to Friday around 9am. Construction on other streets (Spring Mountain/Sands, Koval, Harmon, etc) take place 7 days a week, usually in the daytime.

    The situation is changing all the time. Strip traffic has been absolutely fine this week. The only delay I had was getting from Resorts World to Harrah's late at night (11:30pm) which took over an hour due to Koval being partly closed.
